Why is the giant panda regarded as a national treasure?

Giant pandas are regarded as national treasures because they only live in China.

First of all, pandas are unique to China, and the number is very small. It is a national first-class protected animal. It is docile and rarely attacks human beings, which is in line with China's concept of peace.

Secondly, pandas have existed for 8 million years and are called "living fossils". This is of great value to the research and protection of biodiversity and environmental change in China. Panda's black and white skin color, like the color of ancient China Taiji Bagua, symbolizes the yin and yang poles.

Giant panda is an endemic species in China, and its distribution areas are Qinling, Minshan, Qionglai, Daxiangling, Xiaoxiangling and Liangshan. Qinling Mountains are distributed in the southern foothills, Foping is the main distribution county, Yangxian is the general distribution county, and Taibai, Ningshan Zhouzhi, Liuba and Ningqiang are only a few distribution counties.
