What do Taoist priests do?
Ancient Taoist priests needed to be ordained before they could enter the church. They need to practice after they enter the church. In order to serve the royal family, ancient Taoist priests often went to the palace to make an alchemy, in order to achieve the so-called "immortality." Inner alchemy is to practice martial arts to strengthen the body, and also to carry out sacrificial ceremonies.
Modern Taoist priests don't make alchemy. What they need to do every day is to have classes in the morning and evening, recite scriptures and practice martial arts, and pray at Taoist temples. Taoist priests in Taoist temples often cancel their visas and preside over release activities.
In history, the teachings of Taoist priests have been handed down from master to apprentice. If the Tao does not follow the teacher, the Tao will not fall, and the preacher has to choose. To be a Taoist, a Taoist must accept precepts or symbols. After entering the Tao, take the Tao as the service, hold fast and worship, observe precepts and chant Buddhist scriptures, burn incense and light lamps, and do not involve in chores.

Quanzhen Taoist is a monk, unmarried, vegetarian and lives in a Taoist temple. Men are the avenue, and women are the kundao. They are all long hair, tied in a bun at the top of their heads and can be crowned. Orthodox Taoists can get married and eat meat.
