Version 1

Jim, a real estate agent, and his family were invited to a big house with a history of 150 years, where they met the "tenants" of the house-999 ghosts-and they were waiting for 1000 tenants to join.

Version 2

Ives (eddie murphy) is a real estate agent. One day, he was invited to visit one of the most famous mansions in New Orleans to discuss the sale, so he took his family there. Unexpectedly, because of a rainstorm and flood, they were forced to stay in the mansion for the night, but the family saw 999 ghosts living inside and outside the mansion. At the same time, I also met a fortune teller trapped in a crystal ball-Madame Lyotard (played by Jennifer Tilly).

The protagonist is Jim Evers, a real estate agent. He and his wife Sarah planned to go on holiday, but they got a call from Edward, the owner of the mansion, saying that they wanted to sell their old house.
