The origin of xiuying port's name.

The folklore (unofficial history) xiuying port, Xiuying Wharf and Xiuying Fort were named after Mo Xiuying by Chen in memory of Mo Xiuying. Hainan in the Republic of China was also under the jurisdiction of Guangdong Province.

There was a Guangdong warlord named Chen, and he had a concubine named Mo Xiuying. Superstitious Chen asked someone to tell his fortune, and the fortune teller told him that Mo Xiuying's constellation matched him well and would bring him good luck.

Chen, who has won many battles, thinks that his luck depends on this concubine and loves her more. When he built a wharf in Haikou, he chose the name of this concubine-xiuying port.

1994 1 Haikou Port Group Company was formed by the merger of Hainan Port Authority and Haikou Port, and was under the leadership of Hainan Provincial Government. On June 24th, 2005, Hainan reorganized xiuying port, Xinhai Port and Macun Port, and established Hainan Port Holding Co., Ltd.

On March 13, 2006, Hainan Port Holding Co., Ltd. handed over the management of Haikou City, which was a key step for Hainan to promote decentralization, implement the system of "one city, one port" and promote the integration of resources of "Qiongbei three ports".
