Which province is Hongyan from?

Hongyan town in Pengzhou has a long history, including Piluchang in the Tang Dynasty, Baima Town in the Ming Dynasty, sunny lane in the Qing Dynasty, and Hongyan Township 1929, which is located on the S 106 line of the western Sichuan tourist ring road. Hongyan town is located in the northeast of Pengzhou, 8 km away from Pengzhou/kloc-0, bordering Zhu Min and Liandi in shifang city in the northeast, and adjacent to Aoping Town and Gexianshan Town in the southwest, with an area of 38.7km2. It administers 9 administrative villages and 1 community committee with a total population of16,700. The territory has unique terrain, complete hills and dams, rolling mountains in the north, lush bamboo forests, flat and fertile fields in the south and vertical and horizontal rivers and canals.

The name of Hongyan comes from Gexian Mountain on the west side of hongyan town. As the sun sets, the rock wall of Gexian Mountain is like fire, so the local area is named after Hongyan.
