Historical evolution of Xiaoshan
In the 26th year of Qin Shihuang (22 1 BC), Huiji County was established, and Xiaoshan was subordinate to Huiji County.

Xiaoshan, as a mountain name, was recorded under the county name as early as Han Geography. Its origin is that Gou Jian, the king of Yue, was defeated by Fu Cha, the king of Wu, and the rest of the soldiers stayed here and looked around, so it was called Xiao Ran Mountain, also known as the hill.
1949 On May 5, Xiaoshan was liberated by the people of China, and it is a county directly under the province.
