Lixian County belongs to Changde City, Hunan Province, and is named after the Lishui River runs through the whole territory. It is located in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, the northwest of Hunan Province and the west bank of Dongting Lake. Lixian has most of Liyang Plain, and grain, cotton, oil, pigs and fish are the five major agricultural products in Lixian.
