Can I change my child's name before registering?

Children can't change their names before they register.

The name of the newborn's household registration must be consistent with the name on the birth medical certificate and cannot be changed. If it is necessary to change the name, the guardian should apply for a reasonable reason after the newborn enters the house (the name given by the fortune teller is not a reasonable reason), and the biological father and mother can change the name only after signing in the household registration room of the local police station.
