Xuedou Temple Mile Dojo

Xuedou Mountain, located in Xikou Town, Fenghua City, Zhejiang Province, is a famous national scenic tourist area. As early as the Han Dynasty, it had the reputation of "Tiantai on land and Penglai on the sea". Buddhists in cloth bags were transformed here in the Five Dynasties, which was the Dojo of Maitreya Bodhisattva. Xuedou Temple records that Emperor Song Renzong sleepwalked in Xuedou Mountain, Emperor Li Zong inscribed the inscription "Famous Mountain in Meng Ying", and the abbot of Xuedou Temple carved stone to build a pavilion in the south of the temple, named "Imperial Book Pavilion". Xuedou Temple has a long history and is a famous Buddhist temple. It was founded in the Jin Dynasty and became the "Top Ten Buddhist Temples" in the Tang Dynasty. In the Southern Song Dynasty, it was named as one of the "Five Mountains and Ten Temples", and in the Ming Dynasty, it was called "one of the Ten Temples of Zen in the World". Chiang Kai-shek, a celebrity in the Republic of China, had a deep Buddhist origin with Xuedou Temple, and paid great attention to the construction of Xuedou Mountain and Xuedou Temple. Chiang Kai-shek also wrote "The First Mountain in Siming" for the mountain gate. Taiwan Province compatriots who came to Xuedou Temple to worship Maitreya called it "Chiang Family Temple". General Zhang Xueliang planted four Lin Nan plants behind the main hall, and today there are two more.

There is Xuedou Temple in Fenghua, Ningbo. During the Republic of China, Chiang Kai-shek called Xuedou Mountain "the first mountain in Siming Mountain", and scholars in previous dynasties described Xuedou Mountain as "beautiful Siming Mountain". Secondly, Xuedou Temple is a famous Buddhist temple. In Song Ningzong, Xuedou Temple was rated as one of the "Five Mountains and Ten Temples", and in the Ming Dynasty, it was rated as one of the "Top Ten Famous Zen Temples in the World". Third, Xuedou Temple is predestined friends with Maitreya Buddha. Maitreya Buddha became a cloth bag monk in Changting Village, Fenghua. He died in Lin Yue Temple in Fenghua City after becoming a monk, and often went to Xuedu Temple to do Buddhism. Therefore, Lin Yue Temple and Xuedou Temple are both "holy places for Maitreya to pursue".
