Basic survey of Meitang town

Puning City Meitang Town Puning City governs the town. 1957 established township, 1958 merged into Lihu commune, 1960 established commune, 1983 changed district, 1986 established town. Located in the northwest of the city, with an area of 73 1 km2 and a population of 93,000. The provincial highway An (Liu), Qian (Pu) passes through the town, and the county road Mei (Tang), Mian (Hu) connects with Rongjiang River for water transportation. It has jurisdiction over Meitang residential management area and 23 rural management areas including Sikeng, Stone Bird, Tuyang, Gaopu, Shuanghu, Dazhai, Xiqiao, Xishan, Yuanguang, Xinmin, Guayuan, Jingguang, Tian Feng, Guangxin, Qiaoguang, Changmei, Neiguang, Neifeng, Inline, Xin 'an, Sheshan, Anren and Dadongshan. Industry includes clothing, food and arts and crafts. Southwest bamboo hat is well known, and Changmei ceramics has a history of 100 years.
