The scenic spot is divided into three parts: World Rock Painting Museum, Ruins Area and Han Meilin Art Museum. It is like a textbook, telling the story of rock painting from panorama to part, from ancient times to contemporary times.

Before entering Helankou, there was a Yinchuan World Rock Painting Museum, which introduced rock paintings from all over the world. Then take a battery car, come to the hinterland of Helan Mountain, enter the ruins area and witness the historical miracle created by our ancestors. Finally, I took a bus to Han Meilin Art Museum to observe modern works of art.

There are more rock paintings than expected, and the lines are quite vivid, but prehistoric people really lacked information and could not learn more about their lives. There are more than 40 mountain passes in Helan Mountain, of which more than 20 have rock paintings. The scenic spot is called Helankou, which is the most concentrated place for rock paintings. The content is mainly human faces and animal models. Most of the rock paintings are located on the rocks near the valley, and the position is relatively low. There are also some inscriptions here in the valley. Xixia people didn't know about prehistoric rock paintings and thought they were Buddha statues. Some rock paintings have six-character mantras engraved in the Western Xia Dynasty. There was the Great Wall beacon tower defense project here in the Ming Dynasty, and now there are two beacon tower sites left, so there are also some Ming Dynasty inscriptions on both sides of the valley. Although the rock paintings outside are not easy to observe, they are really rare in China.

I thought the scenery of rock paintings in Helan Mountain should be very simple, mainly looking at rock paintings. I didn't expect that there is another magical creature here-rock sheep. It is said that it takes luck to see them. It's really hard to tell their coat color from rocks. We are very lucky. We have seen several of them from far and near, and it is a bit difficult to find them in some photos. It's amazing. I like it here. In addition, I saw some staff rubbing in the scenic spot. Maybe a few years later, the rock paintings here can't see the real thing, so we can only look at the rubbings in the museum.
