How to face uncertainty?

I once wondered a question, "What kind of people are superstitious?" . When I was young, I always thought that superstitious people were mostly "barbarians" who had never received scientific knowledge and modern civilization. Only barbarians will be confused by feudal superstitions. Later, with the increase of experience, I found that this is not the case, because many people who love fortune-telling and feng shui are so-called successful people. Look at Wang Lin, a master who was all the rage in previous years. What kind of people did the media reveal about him? Very rich, entrepreneurs, stars, celebrities, almost all successful people, but obsessed with Master Wang. Later, my understanding of this problem changed. I think the reason why we ordinary people don't ask God to worship Buddha and take the road of feudal superstition is because we are basically surrounded by something: we can get high marks if we study hard, and we can get a good school if we get high marks. If we have a good school, we will have a good job, which will bring good income. All this is predictable and does not require the blessing of the gods and buddhas. But for entrepreneurs and stars, obviously there are too many uncertain factors around them, and a deity is needed to point out the direction.

Is that really the case? Recently, I read the first volume of Selected Works of Mao Zedong, especially On Practice, which made me realize that in the face of uncertainty, it is only opportunistic to rely on the protection of gods and buddhas. It is said that Li Ka-shing believes in Feng Shui, and the ornaments in his office are exquisite. I wonder if Li Man, the richest man who has been "going upstream" in recent years, has missed seeing Feng Shui?

In fact, all the uncertainties are due to your lack of insight into objective laws, or too many subjective elements in your understanding, which deviates from objective reality.

The theory of practice tells us that if a person wants to win, that is, get the expected result, he must make his thoughts conform to the objective laws of the outside world, otherwise he will fail in practice.

But Carnegie is different. He found a group of scientists to study the loading rate of ore. He set up a laboratory to make accurate calculations and study how to improve production efficiency. As a result, his business benefits have greatly increased. He used his precise understanding of objective reality to turn uncertainty into certainty.

Strong people dare to recognize the reality, dare to challenge the reality, dare to take the world by storm, dare to be different and dare to face difficulties. The weak, cautious, step by step to test, established or rules in his eyes is a dead end, dare not break through, only dare to look up at others, gasp at the strong. Therefore, no matter what kind of successful people, if faced with uncertainty, they should not recognize the objective reality, but adopt their own protection. He just wants to use his deity to tide over the difficulties, which is just an opportunistic opportunism.

? Reading "Mao Xuan" can make you believe that the China revolution led by Mao Zedong followed the objective laws and marched towards victory step by step. During the Jinggangshan period, the Kuomintang carried out five encirclement and suppression campaigns, breaking through the previous four. In a war era full of uncertainties around us, when our strength is far from that of the enemy, and when bullets will hit our skulls, isn't it more convenient to pray for the blessing of the gods and buddhas? However, the Buddha could not save his life at the critical moment. What can protect you from one victory to another in the war is a correct understanding of objective laws. When you are strong enough to understand the operating law of the objective world and use it to turn uncertainty into certainty, you are not far from victory.

The ancestors and old ladies of the Jia family in A Dream of Red Mansions also like fasting and chanting Buddha, because they don't want to know the objective laws. Even if the building is about to collapse, even if the uncertain world scares them, they still ask the Bodhisattva to bless future generations. They don't want to know the real world, they just want to protect their children and grandchildren by burning incense and chanting Buddha, instead of educating them well and making them progress.

? Do all Buddhists believe in Buddhism? Not necessarily. The strong also read Buddhism, but they may not believe in Buddhism. Wu Zetian's belief in Buddhism is only a means of her political rule, and of course she won't believe it in her heart. History records that her big princess was strangled by her, which was a means for her to become a queen. Does she believe in karma? Do not believe.

? However, things in the world are so strange. When you are weak, it seems that karma is everywhere, embarrassing you. When you are strong, when God stops killing Buddha, karma may have no effect. It can be seen that retribution is also bullying the weak and fearing the hard. He never gives "retribution" to the strong, because he is afraid that the strong will see the laws of this world clearly, and he is afraid that the strong will repay. Therefore, if people want to be strong, they must bravely look at the objective world and its internal laws and mysteries before opening it. Only when they have a clear understanding of reality and insight into the objective laws of the world can they face the bleak reality and turn the uncertainty of reality into the certainty of predictable results.
