In order to avoid this situation, the secret method is strictly confidential to those who are not suitable for root canal. On the other hand, the tantric convenient method you mentioned seems to be contrary to the customs and even morality of the world, and many people who don't understand or have ulterior motives criticize it here. But in fact, the customs and morals in the world have nothing to do with liberation. These methods are for special people to practice. For example, Buddhism in ancient China could not take care of their parents after becoming a monk, and many childless children were deprived of incense at home, which was against the ancient ethics of China. But from a deeper level, we can find that family members are not disloyal and unfilial, because those who are freed can have the ability to punish all their parents, relatives and even resentful creditors from the beginning, which is greater filial piety and benevolence. This has been said in many places. Therefore, those convenient methods, in a deep sense, are all methods that can quickly free these people with special conditions, so they are ultimately self-serving and altruistic Buddhist methods. Of course, there are many people who sell dog meat by hanging sheep's heads, but this kind of thing is inevitable in any Buddhist Sect.

Zen is the method of taking root practitioners. The other way is to point to the moon, so that all beings can gradually develop positive views. Zen tells people with upper root organs what is right view in various ways. Because most modern people are more confident and think that they may be rooted, many people who study Zen are actually not suitable for learning Zen. From my point of view, if the five ancestors only read the Diamond Sutra once, and we can't fully understand the first fruit by reading it at least once, then we should honestly lay a good foundation, accumulate blessings, repent of karma, strictly observe the precepts and learn the classics. When the karma is sufficient, any method is Zen.

Both Zen and Tantric Buddhism are Buddhism, but the corresponding groups are different. Some people may learn both, some people may not learn both and should learn other Buddhist methods, and some people may learn one of them.
