The relationship between Tongxiang and Wuzhen

Wuzhen is located in Tongxiang City, Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province, in the "Golden Triangle" zone of Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai, in the hinterland of Hangjiahu Plain, 60 kilometers away from Hangzhou and Suzhou, and 0/06 kilometers away from Shanghai. It belongs to the water system of Taihu Lake basin, with criss-crossing rivers and the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal passing through the town. These two places belong to an inclusive relationship.

Wuzhen was originally divided into Wuqin and Hexi Wuzhen, belonging to Wucheng County, Huzhou Prefecture. Hedong is a green town, which belongs to Tongxiang County, Jiaxing Prefecture. After liberation, Wuzhen, west of Shihe River, was placed under Tongxiang County and was called Wuzhen.
