Most of these dragon dances have gradually changed from the past ritual activities of offering sacrifices, inviting gods and entertaining gods to folk art forms that people enjoy and enjoy.

Ba Long with broken tail comes from Maofeng Mountain in Ninghai, so it is also called Maofeng Mountain Dragon. According to legend, this dragon dance began in the Southern Song Dynasty. This kind of dragon dance ranges from 9 knots to dozens of knots, each with a 2-meter-long wooden stick. Thirteen people are needed to cooperate in the performance.

This kind of dragon dance not only performs basic dragon dance actions such as hitting four corners, hitting eight doors, hitting earth piles and hitting sixteen piles, but also needs to add four lanterns to form a group dance for men. During the performance, each dragon was performed by 1 person, with the "dragon head" leading the dance, and the rest went with the flow, accompanied by gongs, drums and horns.
