Architectural structure of Guangxiao Temple

On the central axis of Guangxiao Temple, there are six halls in turn: Shanmen Archway, Tianwang Hall, Zhanbai Pavilion, Daxiong Hall, Dharma Hall (the upper one is the Sutra Hall) and Great Compassion Hall. There are Temple of Heaven, Bell Tower, Guest Hall, Zhaitang, Monastery and Gongde Hall on the left. On the right is the ancestral hall, Drum Tower, Ye Jingtang, Zen Hall, abbot's room, etc. The whole building was built on the mountain and rose for the second time. The overall building of Guangxiao Temple is simple and elegant, magnificent, with clear primary and secondary layout and elegant germanium, with a total construction area of 6.5438+0.8 million square meters, and the whole temple covers an area of 53,000 square meters.

The most striking thing about Mei Feng Temple is the Great Hall of Compassion, which was built on the top of the mountain in 1980s. Although Mei Feng is only 55 meters above sea level, it stands tall in the city. The Compassion Hall, which is 22 meters high, with triple eaves and hanging columns, is particularly majestic. There is a statue of Guanyin in the temple, which is 14.2 meters high, the highest in Bamin. It is said that only the gold body is covered with plastic, and 1.5 kg of gold is used. There is a pair of couplets by Rodin (1904- 1983) in the temple: "Plum blossoms bloom on the top of the mountain, and the bell rings for enlightenment; Looking at the sea in front of the door, you can see thousands of spring colors, and all colors are empty. " There is a class behind the temple to climb the hall and walk around the cloister.
