Zhuangzi's fable: A woman with a face like a child says "Tao"

Zhuangzi told the story in the form of a dialogue between two people. One is called "Nanbo Zi Kui" and the other is called "Nvluo".

Nanbo Zi Kui asked the girl, you are so old, why do you look like a child?

The woman said: Because I have Tao.

Nanbo Zi Kui asked again: Can you learn Tao?

The girl said: that will definitely not work! Because without that piece of material, you can't learn the Tao at all.

Let me give you an example:

There was a man named Bu Liang Yi. He has the talent to be a saint, but he has no "Tao" to be a saint.

On the contrary, I have the "Tao" internalized by saints, but I have no talent to be a saint.

I want to teach him the Tao of a saint, so maybe he can become a saint?

Even if I can't, it should be easy for him to understand that I use the sage's "Tao" to guide a person with sage talent.

The method I adopted is:

Teach him in the most basic way first, and after three days, he can forget the whole world.

After he forgot the world, I continued to insist on induction. After seven days, he could forget the personnel.

When he forgets the personnel, I will insist on inducement. After nine days, he can forget himself.

When he completely forgets himself, he can fully understand it, and when he fully understands it, he can see the supreme way of Excellence and independence.

Only after he glimpsed the supreme way of Excellence and independence can he break the ancient and modern concepts.

Only by getting rid of the ancient and modern concepts can he get rid of the concept of life and death.

Zhuangzi explained the three-level monastic effect of "forgetting the world", "forgetting people" and "forgetting oneself" through the mouth of a handmaid.

Zhuangzi told us that the highest state of monasticism must be to forget oneself, so as to be as young as a girl and achieve immortality.

Because the less you care about something, the more you can get. Sometimes, it is because we think too much that we are so tired.
