Jigong was originally a dragon-descending arhat under the Buddha's seat. Why did he come to earth?

Jigong's real name is Li Xiuyuan, and after becoming a monk, he became Daoji. His father is called Li Maochun. According to legend, this is when we are camping in Beijing. As the saying goes, "different people have different opinions", Li Maochun is generous and too kind, so that his men are lax. He was impeached and dismissed by his officials. Li Maochun doesn't care about losing his official position, but he is still worried about another thing. Li Maochun's wife is Wang. Both husband and wife are about forty years old. They have been married for more than twenty years, but they have no children and a half. Mrs. Wang also advised her husband to marry a concubine, but Li Maochun refused. She heard that the incense in the nearby Tiantai Mountain was very effective, and both husband and wife went to burn incense and petition. In front of the Buddha statue, Li Maochun and his wife both knelt down and prayed silently: "If they can get cigarettes, the couple will rebuild the temple and reshape the golden body." After the prayer, the couple burned incense everywhere in front of the Lohan Bodhisattva and went to the Eighteen Lohan. As soon as Li Maochun bowed, the dragon statue of Lohan fell off the lotus platform.

Li Xiuyuan has been widely read since childhood, and he is smart and eager to learn. He never forgets anything. Li Maochun and his wife like each other very much. Sixteen years later, Li Maochun got sick, and two years later, Mrs. Wang also went west. His parents died one after another, which touched Li Xiuyuan greatly. He likes Buddhism very much. After his parents died, there was no one at home. One night, he left a letter for his uncle and drifted away. A few months later, Li Xiuyuan became a monk in Lingyin Temple in Feilaifeng, Hangzhou. The elder of Lingyin Temple was named Kong Yuan, a monk in the 9th century. He saw at a glance that the foundation of Li Xiuyuan was extraordinary, and the dragon Lohan came to the world from Lingshan. He high-fived Li Xiuyuan three times at the top door, which awakened Li Xiuyuan's past memories. Li Xiu's legal name is puppy. People call him a crazy monk because he is crazy, eats meat and drinks, and is untidy. Later, Dao Ji talked with people endlessly, and everyone addressed him as Jigong. Since then, there is no Li Xiuyuan in the world, but there is a monk who helps epilepsy.

When he was enlightened by the elder Kong Yuan, he not only recovered all the memories of his previous life, but also awakened all the magic of Dragon Lohan. In Buddhism, we not only pay attention to helping others, but also to reducing demons. Among Buddhist bodhisattvas, eighteen arhats, like the Eight Donkeys Cave, often act as guardians. Luohanlong is the first of the eighteen arhats and occupies a high position among the bodhisattvas in Lingshan. So, Tathagata Buddha wants to reincarnate Dragon Lohan as an epileptic monk and walk the earth? The first chapter of Biography of Qi Huangong mentioned a reason. The original text said: "Buddhism is intended to spend the world." The so-called "living out of the world" means living out of the world, which is often said to be "living out of all beings." However, why did Tathagata choose to be reincarnated as a dragon like Lohan? Why did the Dragon Dragon Luohan reincarnate in the early Southern Song Dynasty? In the early Tang Dynasty, Buddhism once flourished because Sanzang returned from Tianzhu and brought many true scriptures. In the era of Wu Zetian, the empress turned herself into the reincarnation of Maitreya, and Buddhism was more prosperous than in the past. However, Taoism is a native religion in China, and the royal family in Li Tang regards itself as a descendant of Laozi, the ancestor of Taoism. As far as the whole Tang Dynasty is concerned, the prosperity of Daomen far exceeded that of Buddhism.

Under his lobbying, Song Huizong took various measures to promote secret doors and crack down on Buddhism, and even Song Huizong issued an imperial edict. The Buddha can no longer be called Buddha, but must be changed to "Da Jin Jue Xian". Jigong came with memories of past lives and all his magical powers. On the vast land in the early Southern Song Dynasty, he was the first master in the world to meet the devil and defeat him. In just over ten years, Jigong monks have a large number of followers among the people. Because of the appearance of Jigong, Buddhism has been widely spread, changing the past decline trend.
