The origin of the legend of Yangri

In ancient times, there was a family named Yang who had 13 sons, but his neighbor had no sons. Therefore, he often puts on a smug look in front of his neighbors. The neighbor was very angry and cursed him: "Don't be arrogant! Birth, illness, death, each has his own life. Who knew your son would live a long life? "

Yang Gong laughed at the sky: "Ha ha! I have 13 sons! Even if I encounter three disasters and six disasters, I am not afraid! Even if God is jealous of me and takes away one of my sons in a month, he will leave a son to die for me! "

Unexpectedly, by coincidence, there was a plague one year, which happened to be a leap month. Yang Gong's son got a plague, and his eldest son died on the 13th day of the first month. Then, the sons died one by one. By the end of1February, Yang Gong's 13 sons had all died, leaving him alone, and the scene at night was very bleak. People say that everything that happened to Yang Gong was due to his own boasting. At the same time, the number thirteen is also considered an ominous number. The thirteenth lunar month is not used for happy events.
