Brief introduction of shangqing palace scenic spots

Shangqing Palace is a Taoist temple with a high status in Qingcheng Mountain. There are Laojun Hall, Sanqing Hall, Wuwen Hall and Daodejing Hall in the palace. Incense is strong, and most tourists will burn incense and pray here. There is a pavilion at the entrance of Taoist temple, which is suitable for watching the sunrise. Shangqing Palace is located on the first peak of Qingcheng Mountain, on the half slope about 500 meters away from the peak. Built in Jin Dynasty, the existing palace was built in Tongzhi period of Qing Dynasty (1862- 1874). On the stone wall on the west side outside the mountain gate, there are stone carvings entitled "The Fifth Mountain in the World" and "The First Peak in Qingcheng" by Huang Tianhu. Laojuntang is dedicated to Taishang Laojun, the founder of Chunyang and Sanfeng. Sanqing Hall is dedicated to Sanqing statue and Sanqing disciple Twelve Jinxian; The moral hall has a nanmu board wall engraved with the full text of Tao Te Ching. Confucius and Guan Yu, a military sage in Wen Sheng, are enshrined in Wu Wen Hall. There are also legendary relics such as Makou and Yuanyang Well in the palace. Not far away, there are Paomaping and flagpole stone, which is said to be the training ground of Zhang Qijun in the late Ming Dynasty. Along the stone steps behind the Shangqing Palace, you can reach the peak of Qingcheng Mountain, and there is an echo pavilion on the top, which is a place to watch the natural beauty of Qingcheng Mountain, such as sunrise, sea of clouds, magic lamps, etc., also known as Sunlight Pavilion.
