Shuilian Mountain is located in Shuilian Community, Chengnan District, formerly known as Dong Pengshan. It is 378.8 meters above sea level and more than ten miles away from Fiona Fang. There are endless mountains, waterfalls and flowing springs, as well as lush trees. It is the location of Dong Peng Water Curtain, one of the eight scenic spots in Dongguan in Ming Dynasty. Since the Ming and Qing Dynasties, many celebrities have come here to enjoy the scenery and wrote a lot of poems and sentences. According to historical records such as Dongguan County Records in Qing Dynasty, Xishan Temple, Dongshan Temple Academy and Dongshan Academy, which were built in Song Dynasty, also had temple landscapes such as Kannonji Temple, Baiyi Temple and Lv Zu Temple halfway up the mountain, which were once very popular. Later generations have repaired it, but there are still some ancient temples and historical sites abandoned due to years, such as Xishan Temple, Dongshan Temple and Dongshan Academy on the mountain. Relying on the beautiful natural environment and rich historical resources, the Shuilianshan Forest Park in Dongguan was planned in a unified way, and it was determined that Shuilianshan Forest Park was one of the five major forest parks in Dongguan. To this end, Chengnan District has invested a lot of money to speed up the park construction in an all-round way and strive to make Shuilianshan Forest Park the back garden of modern Dongguan City. At present, all the scenic spots in Shuilianshan Forest Park have been basically completed. The planned area is 15.8 square kilometers, of which the park construction is 10 square kilometers, and the land for residence, scientific research and education is 5.8 square kilometers, covering the main part of Shuilian Lake and Shuilian Mountain and its surrounding areas. The planning structure forms "one axis, two belts and five point eight areas". The first axis is the central axis to undertake the ecological leisure landscape of the new city, starting from the entrance of the south outer ring of Dongguan Avenue in the north, running through the north and south, and reaching the top of Shuilian Mountain, which is basically parallel to the completed Shuilianshan Avenue (two-way, six lanes, with a total length of 5.5 kilometers) and becomes an extension of the urban development axis; Two belts, namely the tree-lined landscape belt and the waterfront landscape belt; Five points are five main landscape nodes, such as sign tower, landscape platform and music fountain, which guide the landscape organization of the whole region; The eight functional areas include Shuilian Lake Central Park, Popular Science Ornamental Botanical Garden, Characteristic Theme Park, Shuilian Mountain Country Park, Cyberport, University Town, Shuilian Villa, Royal Garden and its surrounding residential areas.
