Legends and anecdotes of Ding Lin Temple

Legend has it that there is Fangshan in Jiangning, Nanjing, and then Nanjing. Fangshan, also known as Yintian Mountain, is flat, square and shaped like a seal. It's a mountain of auspicious fate, and the qi of the emperor is burning. Legend has it that Qin Shihuang destroyed the Six Kingdoms and made his last southern tour in 2 10 A.D., drifting on the river and going to Nanjing, which shocked Fangshan. In order to break the spirit of Jinling's kingly way, the Fangshan Mountain was cut off and the Huaihe River sewage was introduced into the city, but it died on the way home, which was condemned by "skyshatter". Nanjing eventually became the ancient capital of the Six Dynasties and remained immortal.

This poem was sung by the Ming Dynasty poet Sheng Shitai (Ying Tianfu Shangyuan, now Jiangning District, Nanjing) when he wrote "Citronella": "Su Temple" in Fangshan.
