Baltimore, the largest city in Maryland, USA, is an important seaport city along the Atlantic coast of the United States.

Baltimore is located on the west side of the top of chesapeake bay, just over 60 kilometers away from Washington, D.C., and the port area is close to the mouth of Patapasco River. It's 250 kilometers' voyage from here across the bay to the vast Atlantic Ocean. However, due to the superior natural conditions near the port, the chesapeake bay is wide and the navigation channel is deep, and the 10,000-ton ocean-going ships can directly sail into the Baltimore port area. This port belongs to Maryland and has always been an important seaport connecting the Great Lakes, the Central Basin and the Atlantic Ocean in the United States.
