The beautiful murals of the rare Yuan Dynasty Hall in Shaanxi Province surprised experts, but many tourists missed it.

In the history of China, the Yuan Dynasty was a relatively short dynasty, and there were not many ancient buildings about it. In Guanzhong, Shaanxi Province, there was a palace in the Yuan Dynasty, which did not collapse after the earthquake in Guanzhong in the Ming Dynasty. When the door of the palace was opened, cultural relics experts were even more amazed at the exquisite murals on the wall. According to research, the mural in this Yuan Dynasty palace is also the oldest mural in Shaanxi, which is very precious.

This Yuan Dynasty hall is located in the south bank scenic spot of Wang Yao, Tongchuan, Shaanxi. Yaowangshan is very famous in Shaanxi, because Sun Simiao, the drug king, lives in seclusion here. Many friends may have been to Wang Yao, but they may not have noticed this Yuan Dynasty hall. The main reason is that Wang Yao is not only rich in cultural relics, but also divided into two scenic spots: Beishan and Nan 'an. The Yuan Dynasty hall is hidden in the ancient buildings in Nan 'an, which is not so conspicuous. If tourists are not careful, they can easily miss it.

As I mentioned earlier, not many ancient buildings in the Yuan Dynasty have been preserved. In Shaanxi, Hancheng is the place with the most preserved buildings in the Yuan Dynasty. Zhao Pu Temple in Hancheng is the largest architectural complex in Yuan Dynasty. Other places, including Xi 'an, have only a few temples left. Therefore, ancient buildings in the Yuan Dynasty that can be preserved to this day are relatively rare.

This Yuan Dynasty palace in Wang Yaonan Temple was built in the second year of Yuan Dynasty (1272), with a history of 748 years. The revival of Taoism Quanzhen religion in Yuan Dynasty. At that time, a magnificent Wei architectural complex was formed in Jingming Palace in Nan 'an, which was the main hall at that time. During the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty, this Yuan Dynasty building survived the Guanzhong Earthquake.

In addition to the cultural value of the ancient building itself, Yuan Chao Tu, a mural of the Yuan Dynasty located on the east and west walls of the main hall, is the most exciting thing for cultural relics experts. This is also the earliest preserved mural in Shaanxi, the highest in Shaanxi.

Yuan Chao Tu is a group of murals with the theme of Taoism, which painted 93 people, and they can be clearly seen from facial expressions, clothes lines and even hair and beard.

The biggest figure in the mural is as big as a real person. In a solemn atmosphere, you can hold your breath and appreciate it carefully, and have the feeling of talking to the characters in the painting through a hundred years. I can only sigh that it is too vivid and realistic.
