The founder of Confucianism is Fuxi.

With regard to the origin of primitive Confucianism, it is said that Taihao Fuxi established the Tai Hao Dynasty (7724-5008 BC) with Qinglong as its totem, and published the Book of Changes in the first year of Luofeng, thus creating Confucianism. Therefore, in theory, Confucianism has a history of nearly ten thousand years.

However, since Oracle Bone Inscriptions in Shang Dynasty began to record religious priests called "Confucianism", Confucianism has a history of not less than 3,000 years and is the oldest indigenous religion in China.

China's classical literature first mentioned "Confucianism" in the Shang Dynasty more than 3,000 years ago. At that time, there were records of Confucianism, Di Zi, Confucianism, Confucianism and Confucianism in Oracle Bone Inscriptions. It can be seen from these nouns that "Confucianism" was already a noble title at that time, and it was often associated with Di Zi, Gongzi and Buddhism.

At the same time, it shows that by the end of Shang Dynasty, there appeared a class of intellectuals in China, who were the early "Confucians". They are familiar with poetry, books, rituals and music, which can be subdivided into witchcraft, history, blessing and divination according to their professional expertise. Their main job is to hold religious sacrificial activities such as weddings, funerals, fortune-telling and praying for rain.
