Introduction of Zhongshan Park in Shantou

Zhongshan Park, Shantou City, Guangdong Province, was laid in Shantou City in the Republic of China 15 (1926). Two years later, it was completed and opened on August 28th (1928). Located on the Yuemei River in the urban area, it is one of the new eight scenic spots in Shantou.

The park is surrounded by water, among which Hanjiang, the main river in Shantou, is in the north of the park, and the other three sides are artificial rivers. The park is connected with Shantou by three bridges. 20 17 was rated as a national AAA tourist attraction.

Zhongshan Park in Shantou is a comprehensive park with the earliest history, the largest scale and profound historical and humanistic connotation in eastern Guangdong, with a total area of 309 mu. The park is divided into two parts along the west bank where the lake meets.

Entering Zhongshan Park in the urban area, you can see a newly-built "Datong Bogong Temple", which covers an area of about 200 square meters and is a single-story building structure, behind the left side of the original city museum (red brick building).
