Thoughts on reading Wei Linggong's story

I accidentally read The Analects of Confucius and Wei Linggong's story, and some feelings have some inspiration for my own work and works. Write it down and share it with everyone.

"The Analects of Confucius. "Wei Linggong" recorded a question between Zi Gong and his teacher Confucius, to the effect that Zi Gong asked the teacher if there was a wise saying that he could pursue his whole life (can the moral cultivation be summarized in one sentence)? Confucius replied in a somewhat consultative tone: "It is tolerance! Don't do to others what you don't want. "

The word "forgiveness" expresses the spirit of "forgiveness": "forgiveness" means inferring the feelings of others from your own feelings. The so-called "don't do to others what you don't want others to do to you". Later Confucianism raised the spirit of "forgiveness" to the height of "Tao", which is called "forgiveness", that is, respecting the magnanimity of a gentleman, being tolerant of others, appreciating good and tolerating evil. Just as God protects everything and the earth carries everything, a gentleman should have a broad mind like heaven and earth, not an arrogant mind, so as to cultivate an inner blessing.

Among the traditional virtues of the Chinese nation, measurement is a very important virtue. The ancients often said that "magnanimity" is worthy of generosity. A person with dignity and tolerance can always be kind to others everywhere, get high praise from people around him and win opportunities for success in various fields.

There were many elegant celebrities in ancient China, and Zhang Shizhi in the Western Han Dynasty was such a person.

* Note: Zhang Shizhi was born in Kiko and Duyang, Nanyang (now Fangcheng County, Henan Province). The year of birth and death is unknown. China was a lawyer and judge in the Western Han Dynasty. In the first year of Emperor Wen of Han Dynasty (BC 179), Zuo was elected as a riding lang, and he served as a page, a coachman, a corps commander and a corps commander. Wendi was promoted to Tingwei in three years and became the highest judge to assist the emperor in handling judicial affairs. He believes that Tingwei is "the level of the world". If the law enforcement is unfair, there will be laws that are not complied with and the people will be at a loss. He enforced the law strictly, and when the imperial edict was in conflict with the law, he still adhered to the law and maintained the seriousness of the law. He believes that "the law, the son of heaven and the world are also public." If the emperor modifies or abolishes the law at will, "the law has no trust in the people." His words and deeds were valuable in the feudal era when the emperor was autocratic and kept his word. At that time, people praised "Zhang Shizhi as Tingwei, and there was no justice in the world". Jingdi was appointed as Huainan Xiang. Zhang Shizhi made an important contribution to the realization of Wenjing rule.

Zhang Shizhi served as Tingwei, in charge of the national punishments. One day, there was an elderly Chu Shi Wang Sheng in the hall where civil and military officials gathered in the Qing Dynasty. When he saw Zhang Shizhi, he said, "Please help me tie my socks." As a courtesy, Zhang Shizhi knelt down calmly and obediently after hearing this humble old man's rude request, and bent down to tie Wang Sheng's socks at his feet.

After leaving the court, someone asked Wang Sheng, "Why did you humiliate Ting Wei in court and let him tie your socks?"

Wang Sheng said, "I am old and poor, and I know I have nothing good to give to Zhang Tingwei. Zhang Tingwei is now a powerful minister in the world. The reason why I made such a request in public is to add some reputation to him. "

When people heard about it, they all praised Wang Sheng's understanding, but they paid more attention to Zhang Shizhi, who was tolerant and patient.

Not only in ancient times, but even today, "forgiveness of Tao" is still a highly respected spiritual quality.

There are two kinds of forgiveness: passive and active. Knowing how to respect others, being magnanimous, not accepting others' suspicions, not holding personal grudges, and being able to tolerate all people and things are passive forgiveness.

I asked a teacher to tell my fortune two days ago. The teacher said that among the sixty-four hexagrams in the Book of Changes, several are called Yuanji, and one of them is called Ding Gua, which means that the country is as stable as a tripod. The other is called "Gua", which means to harm oneself and others. Being able to benefit others at one's own expense, sincerely facing all sentient beings, "if you want to stand, you can stand, if you want to reach", this is active forgiveness.

Laozi said that "goodness is like water", and the virtue of water is never full, and the high is always low. Be content with the lost situation. But this world is just a seemingly weak water, but it can converge into the widest Wang Yang. The virtue of "being good" is to benefit things at the expense of oneself.

As long as a person persists in the attitude of harming others in society and in groups, makes more self-sacrifice, thinks more about others and works harder for others, then you will surely have a natural fortune and really make a fortune, as predicted by "harm others' divination". Tell me, in your life and work, what karma is more precious than getting "harmonious" help everywhere? Therefore, if you are generous, you can practice forgiveness more actively, and you will naturally be blessed.

What is the opposite of forgiveness? Just don't forgive. What happens if you don't forgive? Get angry when you're angry.

People often say that being angry is to punish yourself with other people's mistakes. Generally speaking, this is the case, but people don't know how serious this punishment will be. Zen often says: "The heart burns without smoke." Think about it, there is a fire in my heart every day, what harm it does to people's body and mind! The best prescription is three words-forgiveness!

These three words are also a requirement for yourself. I hope I can feel the truth of life and encourage myself to achieve better results in my work and study.
