Rely too much on fortune telling

Children don't study hard, but they are addicted to fortune-telling books all day and take notes carefully. What should they do?

Every child has every child's talent, and maybe his hobbies, I think here. There is nothing that can be properly cultivated here, just let him have his own main direction of life. Parents should not deliberately stop it. If they can stop their children's hobbies, it may be counterproductive. Perhaps proper guidance can achieve twice the result with half the effort.
