What does it mean to draw the scarlet letter?

Red is a reward for good, and black is a reward for evil.

To draw posts is to draw lots, to look at life by fortune-telling, and to draw lots for important things that you want to draw conclusions but don't know yet, all of which should be accurate enough. The question is, what is the level of fortune tellers and people who cancel their contracts?
