Who is Wong Tai Sin

Huang Chuping (about 328-386), later called (Wong Tai Sin), was a famous Taoist immortal. He was born in Lanxi City, Jinhua County, Zhejiang Province, China, and is a local shepherd boy. At the age of 65,438+05, he was inspired by a fairy and lived in seclusion in Song Chi. Began to practice at the age of 65,438+08. After 40 years of education, he changed his name to Chi Chuping, known as "Song Chixian Zi". According to folklore, it is very magical and can turn stones into sheep. Legend has it that people's belief and worship are obtained because of alchemy, eclosion and prescription, which makes people live forever.

The belief in Wong Tai Sin was introduced to Hong Kong by Ren Liang 'an, the founder of Puqingtan, in 19 15, and has flourished since then. The famous Wong Tai Sin Temple in Hong Kong is dedicated to him, and the incense is endless all day.

Wong Tai Sin Temple, full name of Song Chi Wong Tai Sin Temple or Sike Garden Wong Tai Sin Temple, is a famous temple in Hong Kong, located in Wong Tai Sin, Kowloon, covering an area of about 65,438+08,000 square meters. This temple is dedicated to Huang Chuping, a famous Taoist deity in southern China during the Eastern Jin Dynasty. The building is listed as a second-class historical building in Hong Kong.

The red column, yellow lattice, golden roof and blue lintel in the temple can be regarded as the typical traditional temple buildings in China.

19 15 years, Ren Liang 'an and Liang Jun, a Taoist priest of Puqing altar in Xiqiao, Guangdong Province, came to Hong Kong with the portrait of Master Wong Tai Sin and gave lectures at Zhawei Street and Dawa. Later, an altar was set up east of Wan Chai Avenue to honor Master Wong Tai Sin and a pharmacy was set up. Two years later, it was destroyed by fire, so the altar moved to the east of Wan Chai waterfront.

192 1 year, Master Wong Tai Sin sent a message to the Taoist couple at that time to build a temple in Kowloon. Dao Lu came to a mountain near Zhuyuan Village and saw Lingxiu's unique love, so he asked the fairy teacher for instructions. The immortal teacher said, "This is a land full of chicken wings and good luck", which is suitable for giving lectures at the opening ceremony. Therefore, it is convenient for the Taoist couple to build a shrine at the current site, and to place a statue of the immortal teacher in Anfeng, and give the garden the name "Sike" and the altar the name "Puyi". In the same year, the temple management organization-Sike Garden was formally established.

Garden doors are open and incense is flourishing (1934-65)

At the beginning of its establishment, this park was a private retreat, and only Taoist couples and their families in this park could visit it. It was not until 1934 that the park was allowed to open the main hall in the first month of the lunar calendar after applying to the government. 1956, the government wants to recover the land in this park and develop it into a low-rent housing community. The then Prime Minister, Mr. Huang Yun, immediately appealed to the government after learning about the incident. As a result, the garden was preserved and fully opened. The garden will allocate all the ten cents paid by the citizens to the friendly organization-Donghua Group of Hospitals as the funds for its subordinate schools. Since the full opening up, the affairs of the park have become increasingly heavy. In order to facilitate administrative management, the park applies to the competent government department for registration as a charitable legal person 1965, and is exempted from the title of "limited company".
