Xiachu Town is located in the northeast of Rushan City. It is connected to Muping District of Yantai City in the north, Xiacun Town and Dagushan Town in the south, Feng Jia Town in the east and Wuji Town in the west. The territory is hilly, the Huanglei River runs through the north and south, and the water and underground gold resources are rich. Rushan Gold Mine, Tongxishan Gold Mine, Sanjia Gold Mine and Rushan Chemical Plant are all in the territory, which are the main gold producing areas in Rushan City. National Highway 309 and Tao Wei (Village) Railway pass through the territory. Xizhuang has Neolithic cultural sites, and Mataishi has tombs in the early Western Zhou Dynasty.
