What was the name of Suining County in ancient Xuzhou?

In the Neolithic Age, the ancestors of Suining County worked, lived and multiplied here.

During the Shang and Zhou Dynasties, the northern part belonged to Pi State, and the southern part was called Pi State.

During the Qin Dynasty, Quyou County in the south and Xiapi County in the north were under Qingzhou.

Suiling County was built in the Han Dynasty and coexisted with Qusi County and Xiapi County (Eastern Han Dynasty, Three Kingdoms and Jin Dynasty).

During the Northern and Southern Dynasties, Qu You County was merged into Suiling County;

Sui dynasty abolished Suiling county system, and the county entered Xiapi in the north and Sizhou in the south;

In the second year of Jinxing (12 18), Suining County was established, belonging to Nanjing Road Sizhou. In 792, the county was founded, and its membership changed many times, but the county name remained unchanged.

In the Yuan Dynasty, the county was centered on Sui Town, with Shaji and Lingcheng in the east, Qiuji in the south, Li Ji in the southwest, Taoyuan, Yinghai, Gaolou and Dawang Temple in the west (Yinghai, Gaolou and Dawang Temple were included in Lingbi County, Anhui Province in 1950), south of the Old Yellow River in the north and Zaohe (65438+) in the northeast.

In the 14th year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (138 1), southern Pizhou 14 was incorporated into Suining County.

1949 10 months later, Suining County was placed under the jurisdiction of Huaiyin Commissioner's Office of Subei Administrative Office;

1953 was placed in Xuzhou Commissioner's Office, Jiangsu Province in May, and in the same year, Shuanggou, Zhangwei, Gupi and Zhangji under the former Pisui County were placed in Suining County.

After 1956, the county territory tends to be stable. The county is about 75 kilometers long from east to west and 55 kilometers wide from north to south, with a total area of 1773 square kilometers.

1March, 1983, the system of city governing county was implemented, and Suining County was subordinate to Xuzhou City.
