"Xiumen" is pronounced as "Qiumen" in the local dialect. Xiumen is located in the middle of Qiaodong District. Humen was originally a village in Huolu County. Ming Jiajing's "Huolu County Records" is also known as "Xiumen Township". 1925 was included in the city when Shimen was built. The name of "Xiumen" literally means the door of auspicious celebration. Xiumen was originally a large market town, and every fourth and ninth day of the lunar calendar is a party day. There are shops in both East and West Streets, and several facades are still there. Some street names also left traces of the market. Nowadays, South, North and Zhonghua Street were all cotton markets of that year.
