Minority languages in Dongxiang and Xixiang (belonging to other language families): Dongxiang in Dongxiang Autonomous County (belonging to the East Mongolian branch of Altai Mongolian), Baoan in Jishishan (belonging to the East Mongolian branch of Altai Mongolian) and Salar (belonging to the Ugus branch of Altai Turkic).
