Personally, I think the key to agreeing with the eight characters is whether it will affect your psychology.

If you believe it, you have it. No, you do.

One of the reasons why Buddhists say they don't recognize the eight characters is to tell us that recognizing the eight characters will make us feel that everything is brought by fate, so that we will feel that fate is like that anyway, and it is the same whether we work hard or not, and we will muddle along and live very confused. This phenomenon violates the original intention of Buddhist practice and birth in this life. So there is a saying in Buddhism that don't tell fortune.

Of course, I think whether we agree or not, we should treat it with the mentality that three minutes is doomed to seven minutes of hard work. The purpose of agreeing with the eight characters is to guide us to avoid misfortune and find a better direction. In order for us to work in the right direction, the so-called focus on one thing will lead to success. It can be said that there is no conflict between being good at using the eight characters and cultivating the mind.
