Where is Dr. Xu Donglian from in Guangdong?

Dr. Xu Donglian is from Xinyi, Guangdong. Xu Donglian is currently a Li Zhengdao scholar and doctoral supervisor at Li Zhengdao College of Shanghai Jiaotong University, and a national overseas high-level young talent (20 18). In 2008, he received a bachelor's degree from the University of Science and Technology of China, a doctorate from the University of Alabama in 20 15, and a postdoctoral fellow from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 20 18. He has been engaged in the frontier research of neutrino astronomy and experimental neutrino physics for a long time, and participated in the discovery of high-energy neutrinos outside the Milky Way and the first corresponding celestial source. After returning to China, he proposed the South China Sea Neutrino Telescope (Karina Project) and served as the chief scientist, leading the team to develop the deep-sea photometer. In September, 20021,a 3.5km deep-sea instrument was successfully deployed in the South China Sea, and the in-situ Cherenkov optical detection and clock synchronization technology were demonstrated. The experimental site was selected, and the preliminary conceptual design and main scientific objectives of the telescope were completed.
