Who knows the legend about Xian'gong Mountain?
During the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty (1522- 1566), there was a scholar named Liang in Quanzhou who failed the list several times. One day, he and his friends went to Shuangji Gong Xian Temple for divination. In a trance, I felt Gong Xian holding his hand and writing five words in his palm: "fame is in the palm." When Liang Xiucai woke up, he thought it was a test, so he gladly retaken the exam. When the list comes out, it still falls in Sun Shan. He went home disappointed. On the way, I felt embarrassed to say goodbye to "Jiangdong Elders", so I changed my mind and became a street storyteller. A scholar made a public appearance in the street and said that he had no face, so he came up with a way of "acting" so that the audience could only listen to his voice and not see him. In this way, he enjoyed himself and made a living. Later, a puppet master heard about this book outside the curtain. Seeing the vivid language expression of the performer, he suggested that he hold the puppet show in his hand and perform it while talking. In this way, the stories he later expressed were more vivid, and more and more people heard about the book. This new form of performance allows the audience to watch the puppet show while listening to the story, making Liang famous and known as the "top performer". Only then did he understand the meaning of "fame in the palm of your hand" written by "xianggong", which originally predicted that he would be the "number one puppet master" in the palm of your hand in the future.
Epitaphs of Great White Chicken and Zen Chicken
On the wall of Bai Xiaoyan Temple in Xian'gong Mountain, there is an inscription on the "White Phoenix Zen Phoenix Tomb", which is composed of four polished granite strips, 2 meters high and 1 meter wide, written by Zhang Ruitu, a scholar and calligrapher in the Ming Dynasty.
According to reports, there is a large white chicken that has been domesticated for many years in the temple and is familiar with Buddhism. Every day, he accompanied all the monks to read the scriptures and recite the Buddha, and then he toured the mountains.
One day, the white chicken suddenly sat down and died. The monks were so sad that they held a grand ceremony to ask it to cross over and build a grave for burial as a memorial. Lin Ruliao, a local scholar, wrote a eulogy for this, which was written by his good friend Zhang Ruitu and carved on a stone as a monument. It was in Wu Geng during the Chongzhen period of the Ming Dynasty (1630). Now, although the tomb of Dabai Chicken has been lost, the inscription on the tomb of Zen Chicken is still impressive, attracting countless tourists.
Half-day tour in the mountains
During the Shunzhi period of Qing Dynasty (1644- 16 1), there was a hero Zheng Chenggong in Shijing, Nan 'an. He had been to Xian'gong Mountain before he became an official.
However, people knew that Zheng Chenggong would come to Xian'gong Mountain before Gong Xian went on official business, so he told shinya yamanaka in his dream: "Tomorrow, a scholar in white will come to ask for a visa. You should quickly clean the shops at the foot of the mountain, prepare green tea and meet the distinguished guests. At the same time, I should say to him,' I have been in a hurry for a long time. Don't bother to go to the temple, go back and practice martial arts.' Zheng Chenggong was very grateful when the monk conveyed Gong Xian's words to him. Sit down and have a rest and look around. Mountains, towering old trees, towering into the sky, lush vegetation, charming scenery, crowded with pilgrims, men, women and children. It's a fairyland on earth After Zheng Chenggong returned to China, he practiced martial arts harder and became familiar with the art of war. Later, he sent troops to recover Taiwan Province Province and defeated the Dutch invaders. Later generations built a stone pavilion at the foot of Xian'gong Mountain as a permanent memorial. This pavilion still exists now. (Anonymous)
