Datong dialect is divided into two categories according to whether there are three initials: zh, ch and sh. The first group, initials zh, ch, sh, is called Laotonghua, which is mainly distributed in urban and eastern areas. Most of them don't have initials zh, ch and sh, which is called new Datong dialect.
