He has no son and will die at the age of 53. Yuan Lefan listened with a grain of salt, but strangely, later he went to take the imperial examination, and the ranking was exactly the same as what the old man said.

Twenty years later, everything the old man said was completely fulfilled. Yuan Lefan thought, my life has been accurately calculated, and it seems that people really have fate. Adversity and misfortune are both fates, and we won't have any delusions. Everything is arranged by fate.

Until one day, he visited a famous monk. After listening to his story, the monk smiled: I thought you were a character, but later I thought you were just a mediocrity! Yuan Lefan was surprised and asked him how to say this. The monk said: although there is a destiny, mortals will be bound by it. If he is a kind person, fate will stop him. Your life has been fixed for twenty years, and not a penny has changed. So, you are not an ordinary person, what is it? Fate can be changed. There are natural rewards for doing evil, and there are natural rewards for doing good. Life is made by yourself, and happiness is found by yourself! Some words awakened the dreamer and made Yuan Lefan determined to change his destiny. He first worked hard at Xiu De, changed his bad habits, and vowed to do 3,000 good deeds in order to achieve higher fame.

From then on, the previous fortune telling began to be inaccurate. In less than two years, Yuan Lefan also changed from a juren to a scholar, and his official career was smoother. Realizing the benefits of self-cultivation and diligence, Yuan Lefan vowed to do more good deeds. And got a son, named the Apocalypse, who was later admitted to the Jinshi and made a county magistrate in Gaoyao, Guangdong. Yuan Lefan lived to be seventy-four, and wrote a story that changed his destiny and passed it on to future generations. This is a classic story of transforming fate in Four Seasons of Departure. By reflecting on his past and doing good deeds, Mr. Yuan Lefan changed his fate of "short life", "childless" and "nameless".

Therefore, as you sow, you reap, and your personal destiny will ultimately depend on yourself. Doing good can be changed except doing evil.
