Zhou Wenwang, whose real name is Ji Mingchang (BC1213-117), was called Xibo in history. He was the leader of the Zhou people in the late Shang Dynasty. This aroused the suspicion and dissatisfaction of Shang Zhouwang (later called Yin), who listened to rumors foolishly and brutally, and imprisoned Ji Chang in the national prison at that time-Youli City.

After Ji Chang was imprisoned, Yin insulted and tortured him by various barbaric means, and even killed his eldest son and made him swallow it. Ji Chang was imprisoned for seven years, and he turned Fuxi's inherent gossip into gossip. Although gossip is successful, it represents the eight basic attributes of everything in the world. The attributes of everything can be abstracted into eight, but the concrete things are endless.

There can't be eight kinds, so "gossip success" can't reflect complex changes. "Painting is delayed, touching is long" and "Therefore, it is important to focus on it", that is, every gossip can be regarded as Tai Chi, which is driven by the original gas and overlaps with gossip, thus forming 8864 pictures, reflecting different complex changes in the universe. Then it was interpreted as sixty-four hexagrams, written with hexagrams, and put forward a simple dialectical viewpoint of "rigid and soft are relative, changing in it", and completed the Book of Changes. Zhouyi speculates on the changes of nature and society in the form of divination, covering almost all the contents of human society, and is known as the "head of the group classics".

In modern times, due to the prosperity of science, people mainly discussed Zhouyi in the field of philosophy, but representatives like Liu Dajun insisted on studying Zhouyi from the perspective of physiognomy.
