The story of four wives

I gave myself a net name "Pure Mind Practice": Why should I purify my mind? Pure mind is to let go, pure mind is to practice, and pure mind practice is to let yourself see the suffering in the world and understand why life is bitter ideologically, so that you can have fun. The biggest obstacle to recognizing life is to see yourself clearly. If you don't even recognize yourself, how can you recognize others and the world? You naturally can't see through the suffering of the world of mortals.

I like this short story: Four Wives.

Sakyamuni said at a law meeting: There was a wealthy businessman in a certain place who married four wives: the first wife was smart and lovely, and stayed with him all day; The second wife was robbed and was a great beauty; The third wife, addicted to trivial matters of life, let him live a stable life; The fourth wife worked hard and ran around, making her husband completely forget her existence. Once, a rich businessman was going to travel far away. In order to avoid the loneliness of long-distance travel, he decided to choose one of his four wives to accompany him. The businessman told his four wives what he thought.

The first wife said: Go by yourself, I won't accompany you. The second wife said: I was robbed by you. I don't want to be your wife, so I won't go. The third wife said, although I am your wife, I don't want to suffer from camping. Send you to the suburbs at most. The fourth wife said, since I am your wife, I will follow you wherever you go. So the rich businessman took his fourth wife on a trip.

Finally, Sakyamuni said, ladies and gentlemen, who is this rich businessman? Is yourselves. In this story, the first wife refers to the body, and will be separated from herself after death; Mistress refers to property, with or without it. The third wife refers to his own wife. When he was alive, they lived together, but after he died, they still went their separate ways. The fourth wife refers to the self. People often forget its existence, but it is always with them.

Zen is in words and stories, and the truth is understood through short stories. Tibetan Buddhism pays attention to the practice of body, mouth and heart, and clearly talks about how to practice; Zen, on the other hand, is a short story, a poem that allows you to understand the truth in details. If you can't see through yourself, you will still live in endless pain. Physical property and relatives will eventually leave themselves, and only their own hearts will always accompany them; Neither material property nor relatives can completely solve their own troubles, but they still have to practice on their own.

Zen says: 1 Everything has a cause and effect. If you understand the cause and effect, you will master the way to change your destiny. 2. Practice is not to gain, but to let go. The more you put, the more you have. 3. Keep silent in the group, and quiet inside when alone. Happiness is not getting everything you want, but enjoying everything you have. There are two misunderstandings in life: one is to live for others, not to look at their lives.
