Qianshan City is located at the eastern foot of Dabie Mountain in western Anhui, between 30 27 ′-3104 ′ north latitude and116/4 ′-116 46 ′ east longitude. The exposed rocks are late Archean shallow marine metamorphic rocks. The soil-forming parent material is the residue of acidic crystalline rock.
