Why is Ganyu inferior to Donghai?

Ganyu and Donghai are two districts of Lianyungang, and their development is different. Some people think that Ganyu may have the following shortcomings compared with the East China Sea:

1. Traffic conditions: Donghai County is located in the core area of Xu Lian Economic Belt. It is the eastern gateway connecting Xuzhou and Lianyungang, occupying the node of Xu Lian Economic Belt, connecting Xinyi in the north, Lianyungang in the east, Guanyun in the south and Shuyang in the west. It is the main urban area for the future development of Lianyungang. Located at the junction of China and Sulu, Ganyu District is a new port city in Jiangsu coastal area, and its traffic conditions are not as good as those in the East China Sea.

2. Economic scale: According to the data of 2022, the GDP of the East China Sea is 52 billion, and that of Ganyu is 7 billion, with a big gap. This may be due to the differences in industrial base and policy support between the two places.

3. Geographical location and resources: Donghai County is rich in resources, with suitable climate and unique agricultural production conditions, and is known as the "Hundred Reservoir Counties". Ganyu area is located at the junction of Sulu and Shandong, and its geographical position is relatively north, and its climate and resource conditions are not as good as those in the East China Sea.

It should be noted that the above are just some viewpoints and data, which cannot fully reflect the gap between Ganyu and the East China Sea. The economic development of the two places is influenced by many factors, such as policy support, industrial layout and talent introduction.
