Key projects of Wangjiashan Town

Dachuanshe, the head of Wanmiao Village in Wangjiashan Town, is located in the northernmost arid mountainous area of Pingchuan District. The natural conditions are very bad. It's windy and rainy all the year round here, with annual rainfall less than 200mm, but evaporation over 2000 mm. Due to the continuous spread of drought and sandstorm in recent years, people's life is very difficult. In order to fundamentally solve the problem of food and clothing for the people in Dachuan community, the village head of Wanmiao, through consultation with the district, township, village and Xingdian Engineering Management Office, decided to build a small irrigation project in Changdachuan.

The project was designed by Baiyin Hydropower Survey and Design Institute and approved by the Municipal Water Conservancy Bureau with the document of Municipal Hydropower Development [1999] 123, with a total investment of 978,300 yuan. Take 300 meters of water from the inverted siphon of Xingdian East Main Canal, and develop 1280 mu of water land.

After the project is approved, the district study decided that the district poverty alleviation office and the district planning and development bureau should report it at the same time and apply for fund construction projects as soon as possible. The poverty alleviation department invested 200,000 yuan in 2002, which has been fully allocated. After the Provincial Poverty Alleviation Office decided to include the project in the project plan, the District Poverty Alleviation Office and Wangjiashan Town immediately organized the masses to start construction. The diversion open channel and pump house of the project have been basically completed. The main channel is 668m, the culvert is 280m (aperture1.6m, height1.8m), the pump house is 36m, and the foundation pit and pump base are excavated. Earthwork15000m3 was completed. Murakami signed an agreement with Lanzhou Water Pump Factory and Lanzhou Hongxing Pipe Factory to reserve 380m (76,000 yuan) of concealed concrete pipes with a diameter of 600mm, S250-39A pumps and electromechanical equipment 1 set (85,000 yuan), pressure cast pipes 1 25m (22,000 yuan) and inlet gate valve equipment1set. The project has completed an investment of 280,000 yuan (including labor costs). In 2002, the planning department planned to invest 600,000 yuan, but the funds came late. Construction of 2,000m water conveyance channel and 5 7,000m branch canals, all lined with precast concrete blocks, erection of rural power lines 1 km, equipment installation and other projects.
