Is the ticket to Beixing Temple free? Does Beixing charge a fee?

Wuke Temple, located in Zhengzhou City, is an ancient temple with a very long history. It is also a free temple to visit and provides free vegetarian food for tourists. Everything is free, and tourists just need to be pious. Here are some specific temple introductions and tour guides.

There are not many temples in Zhengzhou city, but there are some outside the suburbs, but they are too far away to come and go. I heard that there is a quiet ancient temple near Liuxi Lake, so I became interested and made a special trip to see it.

I thought this temple was remote, but it wasn't. The bus can go directly to the door and walk a few steps after arriving at the station, which is really convenient for the elderly people who burn incense.

The temple is called North Temple, with red walls and green tiles. The temples are closely connected, which is not grand, but also simple and elegant. Because it is far away from the busy downtown, it is very quiet here, and only a few fragrant people chat with each other. They all seem to be regulars.

It seems that I am the only real tourist with a camera, and I caught their attention as soon as I appeared. However, they don't care. When they saw me and knew that they were just tourists, they continued to talk about themselves.

North Temple is not an ancient temple. This is a newly-built temple, built at the end of the 20th century, for the convenience of the laymen around. It was hosted by a woman, so it is the only Zhong Ni Temple in Zhengzhou. In the field of Buddhism in China, it is still dominated by men, and the presides of the major monasteries I have been to are almost all men, so Beixing is very precious.

Over the years, I have been to at least hundreds of monasteries. It is said that many temples in Nepal are characterized by a much softer Buddhist atmosphere, which is not as solemn as the Millennium temples, and most of them do not accept tickets. Many old people come, and monks often do some good deeds.

Monks wear broad monk clothes, walk back and forth in the temple, and talk to the incense crowd from time to time, perhaps about liberation.

Although the temple is not well-known, its regulations are strict and perfect. The gate is red, opposite the wall. It was just under construction, and the scene was a bit messy. After entering the temple is the bell and drum tower, which is majestic and beautiful. The pharmacist's hall is located in the center, with green glazed tiles solemn and solemn, and seven lifelike beasts standing on the roof.

There are many wishing cards hanging on both sides of the pharmacist temple, each of which is written with wishes and pinned on the expectations of tourists. It seems that festivals here are also very popular.

Daxiong Hall is the most beautiful. Shuang Shan rests on the top of the mountain, surrounded by a circle of colonnades, white marble fences and small Buddha statues. There are meditation halls and three temples on both sides of the main hall. The meditation hall is a place where lay people meditate and retreat on weekdays, but it is not open to the public.

Beixing Temple not only has no tickets, but even lunch is free. When I was visiting, a monk said there was vegetarian food in the temple and invited me to taste it. I didn't have the courage to go and refused. Soon, some lay brothers also invited me to dinner, saying that the meal had just been cooked.

I looked at it. Vegetarian food is relatively simple, that is, steamed bread and steamed buns with some Chinese cabbage. After all, it's free, and you can't ask too much, because you don't eat if you're not too hungry. I see many incense burners around me often come to eat, and sometimes when they leave, they will take away some fruits, all of which are fruits that support the Buddha statue.

Bukkoji is really good and doesn't feel commercial. Everyone's face is filled with calm and smile. Compared with the impetuous atmosphere outside, it's like another world. Many couplets here are handwritten. It seems that it should be written by a monk in the temple, but the simple words contain profound philosophy.

I stayed in Beikeji for 1 hour, taking photos with nothing to do, chatting with Bhikuni and watching sparrows play quietly. I feel much better after I came out. As the saying goes, the small ones are hidden in the wild and the big ones are hidden in the city. If you want to find a quiet place, you might as well stay here for a while and feel the inner peace.
