Because astronomers a century or two before him (such as Copernicus, Bruno, Galileo, etc. ) did not answer this question, nor did Einstein (1879 ~ 1955), a great scientist two centuries later.

In fact, as early as more than 2,000 years ago, China and Laozi had completely answered this question: the source of energy to maintain the harmonious balance of all things in the universe is the endless and ubiquitous Tao. So, what is "Tao"? What is the law reflected by Tao?

The so-called "Tao" is the law that everything in the universe must follow. The law reflected by "Tao" was summarized by Laozi as "Tao is natural" in ancient China. Thus, the law reflected by "Tao" is "natural", that is, everything can be freely displayed. If we can follow or imitate the law of Tao, then we should not be forced to do anything, but must "let nature take its course". Only by using the thought of "inaction" can we truly understand the connotation of "Tao" and realize the goal of "doing everything possible" The universe, heaven and earth all understand the connotation of Tao and can follow and imitate its laws at any time and anywhere, so they present an endless round world to people, so that human beings are also following and imitating the operating laws of heaven and earth to achieve "eternal life."

"People abide by the law, abide by the law, abide by the law, and be natural." Laozi summed up the life law of heaven, earth, man and even the whole universe very incisively by means of one-stop communication. "Tao, law and nature" reveals the characteristics of the whole universe, including the attributes of everything in the world. Through the externalization of "morality", "Tao" fully shows the attributes of these all-encompassing things between heaven and earth.

Therefore, what the Tao can show is "virtue". In other words, "virtue" has the function of externalizing "Tao". In the running process of all things in the whole universe, only the attributes of things displayed according to the laws of Tao can be called "virtue". On the other hand, if everything in the universe is allowed to act recklessly without Taoism, then the attribute of things can only be called immoral, immoral or immoral. The behavior of "losing morality" stems from "losing morality", and once things deviate from the track of "Tao", if the sky loses morality, or the seasons are impermanent, or there are storms, or the sun, the moon and the stars disappear, it will inevitably be "losing morality"; If the land is "immoral", or the plants are not growing, or the mountains are falling, or the sea capsizes; If people "lose morality", or suffer from diseases or disasters, or their homes and countries are not harmonious. Those who "lose their morality" are bound to "lose their morality" and those who "lose their morality" are bound to be isolated. It is the eternal truth that "getting more help from the Tao, getting less help from the Tao".

In fact, the operation law of the whole universe has already embodied the law of "Tao". As long as people can observe carefully, they can find many different ends of "enlightened" things and "lost" things.

In this world, a country that advocates freedom and democracy, citizens will have enough space for free activities and enjoy full democratic rights, and all affairs of the country can operate in an orderly and normal manner according to their own order. On the other hand, a dictatorial country or political party that is good at acting arbitrarily and fooling the people with various tricks, where the people are bound to be tortured by oppression and suffering, are always faced with the possibility of being deprived of their rights or even killed, and the whole social situation is bound to be in a state of long-term turmoil or near collapse. Why is this? Because the former's behavior conforms to the operating law of Tao, its practice is to imitate the "Suntech" attribute displayed by heaven and earth, while the latter's behavior is contrary to its "Tao", which naturally cannot reflect the harmonious characteristics of "Tiande".

Therefore, "Taoism is natural" is the fundamental attribute that everything in the world must follow. No matter what kind of things in the universe, if they violate the "natural" law stipulated by "Tao", their behavior will be "immoral" or "immoral", and the final result will definitely be the devil take the hindmost. Human society is no exception. No matter which country, party or group violates the principle of "justice and human feelings" and cannot "take people's hearts as the heart", the result will surely be self-destruction. Those rulers who don't follow the "natural" laws guided by "Tao" and do whatever they want are bound to make "immoral" or "immoral" behaviors periodically, but the state rule is completely in the vicious circle of "Tao". The behavior of "not doing the right thing" will certainly not last long, and its outcome will certainly be tragic. This is called "not being enlightened".

5. Good as water

Laozi said: "goodness is like water, and water is the goodness of all things." This is the virtue of modesty. " Therefore, Jiang Hai can be the king of all the valleys. If he is good at it, he can be the king of all the valleys. The water in the world is not weak, and the strong can't win. This is a gentle virtue; Therefore, softness wins, and weakness wins. Because it has nothing, it can enter nothing, which shows that the teaching without words is also beneficial to inaction. "

He thinks that people who do good deeds should be like water. Water benefits and nourishes everything, but it does not compete with everything. This is the most modest virtue. Jianghai can be the destination of all rivers because he is good at being in the downstream position, so he becomes the king of the hundred valleys.

The softest thing in the world is water, but it can penetrate the hardest thing, and nothing can surpass it, such as dripping water wears away a stone. This is where Rudd lies. Therefore, the weak can defeat the strong, and the soft can defeat the strong.

Invisible things can enter things seamlessly, from which we know the teaching of "quietness" and the benefits of "inaction"
