The Natural Resources of Shangzheng Township

By the end of 2003, the population of the township was 1.325 1 10,000, with 332 hectares of cultivated land (including paddy field 155. 1 hectare, i.e. 2,326.5 mu) and 7,008 hectares of forest land (i.e.105/).

The proven reserves of large lead-zinc deposits are more than 654.38+500,000 tons, and they contain many metal elements such as gold, silver and cadmium. The original state-owned enterprise of Huangyan Lead-Zinc Mine could not solve the problem because it polluted the river and endangered the drinking water in the urban area. In 2000, Taizhou Municipal People's Government made up its mind to close it down.

Shangzheng Township is rich in water resources. According to experts' analysis, Huangyanxi, with a total length of more than 30 kilometers in China, can develop more than/kloc-0.05 million kilowatts and build a five-level power station. In 2002, the Party Committee and government of Shangzheng Township adopted the way of "government leading, rural shareholding, attracting investment and comprehensive development" to develop Huangyan Xishui Power Station.

Shangzheng Township is rich in cultural landscape and natural landscape, which is of great tourism development value. The "Huangjushi" in the southwest stream of Nonglin Village in this township is the source of Huangyan's name, which is called "Huangshi Pillow Flow". Tangshengtang is the memorial site of two guerrillas in eastern and southern Zhejiang on April 7th. 1948. Approved by Taizhou Civil Affairs Bureau, this township is a revolutionary base in War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression period and one of the top ten patriotic education bases in Huangyan. On August 2, 2003, under the guidance of village cadres, the personnel of the provincial tourism resources investigation team and the cadres of Shangzheng Township Government found a rare waterfall group in Xiaowanyan Mountain area of Daxi Village. The waterfall group consists of five waterfalls, namely Menmen Waterfall, Nvxiu Waterfall, Shame Waterfall, Rainbow Waterfall and Jiangjun Waterfall, among which Jiangjun Waterfall (also known as herringbone Waterfall) is magnificent and shaped like a herringbone Waterfall. After the development of the scenic spot, it was named "Huangyan Waterfall", which attracted tourists from all directions. Other tourist attractions in the town include: Longjiao Mountain in the Confucian Temple, Bat Cave in the Xiamiao Temple, Huangyan Mountain in Yangtou, Qipanshi and Shuangmen Star.
