4. Tan Baozhen, Deng Biqiong and Yang Jinhua, students majoring in advertising design and production in the College of Art and Engineering, won the Excellence Award for Graphic Works in the Third National College Student Advertising Art Competition in 2009.

5. Li Yatao, a student majoring in environmental art in College of Art and Engineering, won the 3DsMas Excellence Award in the 5th National ITAT Education Engineering Employment Skills Competition in 2009.

Zhao and Chen Xiaokang, students majoring in environmental art in the College of Art and Engineering, won the Excellence Award of Auto CAD Group in the 5th National Education Engineering Employment Skills Competition in 2009. 7. The students majoring in stage lighting design in the Academy of Performing Arts participated in the stage lighting design of "Folk Songs Like Spring River" which celebrated the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in 2008, and won the excellent organization award and the participation organization award.
