Fortune teller Liu Bang _ Liu Bang's fortune-telling story

Fortune teller Liu bang

This is because the title written in Sima Qian's Historical Records is different, and it is called "Han Taizu Gao Emperor", which has been abbreviated since then and has continued this title.

Liu Bang was the first emperor of the Han Dynasty. He was an emperor with a temple number, and the first one was called the temple number. According to historical records, after Liu Bang's death, the ministers of the dynasties unanimously decided that the temple name was "Taizu", which was translated as "Gaozu" and posthumous title was referred to as "Emperor Gaozu" for short, instead of what later generations called "Emperor Gaozu". So what are the reasons for these changes? The original problem lies in Sima Qian's Historical Records, which is caused by different descriptions of appellations in historical books.

According to historical documents, in the eighth volume of Historical Records, it was written: "Bing Yin, buried, set up a prince, and went to the Temple of Emperor Tai Shang. Ministers said that it was the highest achievement of Emperor Taizu to set things right and settle the world. A good emperor is respected as a high emperor, and the prince is the emperor. The emperor is also filial, and each county has its own ancestral temple, which is the original source of posthumous title's address.

Another history book also recorded Liu Bang's name. In Zhou Shu, according to records, there was no harm to Gaozu's life. King Wen called it Gaozu, and his great-grandfather and grandfather called it Gaozu. Zhou Wenwang and Wang Wei are the leaders of the founding of New China, and their contributions are supreme. So being called Gaozu is a kind of honorific title. Similarly, Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty called his great-grandfather Gaudi "great-grandfather". This is the respect for the emperor of the first dynasty by later generations, and the history books should also quote the respect for the emperor of the Han Dynasty, with Liu Bang as the "great ancestor".

Therefore, since the period of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, Sima Qian called Liu Bang "MAO", which has been used by later generations to this day, and is called "Gaozu", "Gao Han" or "Emperor Gaozu" in history.
