Personally, I think fortune telling is just an excuse, mainly because his family doesn't like you, so they don't agree. Fortune telling is mostly just a feeling of adding fuel to the fire.

Depends on your boyfriend's attitude. If he insists on cooperating with you and works hard with his family to make a good impression on you, then you still have a chance. If your boyfriend wavers and wants to give up, then I think your efforts are in vain.
